Our Story

Every watch on this site has been on my wrist.

Not reviewed from a press release. Not photographed from a brand kit. Worn through barista shifts, early morning lectures, library closing shifts, and everything in between. That is the whole premise of The Itinerant.

Where It Started

I moved to the United States from the Philippines at seventeen. For years I was in motion, between places, between identities, between versions of what I thought my life was supposed to look like. I did not feel settled until I landed in Holland, Michigan for college.

Holland is a small lakeside city on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. It is not a place most people would expect to change someone's life, but it changed mine.

The Itinerant started here, from a quiet conviction that the things we carry with us should be chosen with intention, that a watch is not just a way to tell time, it is a checkpoint on the journey.

What This Is

This is a personal record of every watch that has earned a place on my wrist. The collection covers a lot of ground: Casios that have been through barista shifts and academic deadlines, a Soviet military watch with its own complicated history, and a handful of pieces I am still figuring out. None of them were chosen for status, all of them were chosen deliberately.

On The Wrist is where you will find them, documented honestly, photographed by me, with real specs and real opinions from someone who actually wears them.

The Journal is where the longer thinking lives, essays, observations, and field notes on watches, intentional living, and the tools that shape a life in motion.

Where This Is Going

The Itinerant has a longer horizon than a watch review site.

There is a watch brand forming from a straightforward problem: I cannot find the watch I actually want to wear. Solar-powered, capable enough for daily use in genuinely demanding conditions, considered enough in its design to belong in any context. The collections that will come from this brand will each be rooted in a specific place and a specific chapter of a life that has been, from the beginning, in motion.

The people who have been reading The Itinerant from the beginning will have watched the whole process unfold, from a personal collection documented honestly, to a brand built from a real need. That continuity is not incidental to what this is. It is the point.
